What's Your Nature?

At the root of our holistic Spa philosophy are the five elements found in nature,
(and within each of us)

Infinity

Sense: Linked to sound
Physiology: Responsible for expansion; including the expansion of lungs during breathing, the expansion of the arteries, etc.
Mind: Infinity has an open (expansive) mind; they think quick and often.
Imbalanced State: Tendency toward nervousness and a lack of focus. Feel cool/cold.

Air

Sense: Linked to touch
Physiology: Air is responsible for all movement in the body. Including movement of air in and out of the lungs, blood and lymph circulation, the nervous system, and movement of food through the digestive tract.
Mind: Creative mind; learn rapidly but forget easily.
Imbalance State: Tendency towards anxiety, worry, talking too much and too fast, are forgetful, and have a hard time making decisions. Feel cool/cold.

Fire

Sense: Linked to sight
Physiology: Fire is responsible for transformations in the body. This includes digestion ( food changed into energy), the regulation of heat, and the colouration of the skin.
Mind: Fire has a sharp intellectual mind; strong views, argue their points very well; very ambitious.
Imbalanced State: Short tempers, anger easily, show frustration, irritable and have very little patience.

Water

Sense: Linked to sense of taste
Physiology: Responsible for lubricating different structures of the body, moisturizing respiratory tract, lubricating joints, lubricating digestive tract.
Mind: Very compassionate; water gives us our capacity for love and for supporting and nurturing others; learn information slowly but has a good memory.
Imbalanced State: Tendency to be needy, attached; they can get depressed; neutral temperature ( warm).

Earth

Sense: Linked to sense of smell
Physiology: Responsible for structure in the body; the muscles and skeleton
Mind: Stable mind, consistent with their beliefs; hold onto their beliefs very strongly; excellent long term memory
Imbalanced State: Tend to be slow and sluggish; tired most of the time; become attached to their situations; have a hard time adapting to change.

Aqua Polish

A full body exfoliation and refinement of your skin using the therapeutic benefits of marine elements such as Dead Sea salts along with skin conditioning oils. Application of a moisturizer. The result is conditioned, soft polished skin.

Reiki

A Reiki treatment is intended to promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Wherever the body is experiencing any discomfort reiki will help the energy to flow. It is wonderfully relaxing while being stimulating at the same time.

Sun Free Tan

A luxurious safe alternative to sun exposure! Get the look of smooth healthy skin and the irresistible glow of a tan without the risk of UV damage. In order for a smooth uniform tan your body is first exfoliated and the sun free tan is applied.

Aveda Hydrotherm^TM Techniques for the Expectant Mother

Designed for maximum comfort, the Aveda Hydrotherm^TM System is ideal during pregnancy – reliving many of the physical and mental stresses unique to the expectant mother. Many find that they can connect with their baby on a whole new level – as they "float"on warm, water-filled cushions their baby relaxes in the womb.

Fusion Stone Massage

Shiatsu Therapy

Shiatsu is a unique, non-invasive therapy designed to stimulate the body's in inherent ability to heal itself. Literally translated, the Japanese word "shiatsu" means "finger pressure". Shiatsu therapy involves systemic application of manual pressure to the body in order to assess and treat a variety of conditions. Shiatsu treatments have a regulatory influence on the autonomic nervous system, thereby improving organ function and reducing tension.

Rosemary Mint Awakening Body Wrap

Renew body and mind with this stimulating and nurturing dry wrap. Your body is exfoliated, smoothed, softened and wrapped. Essences of rosemary and peppermint will awaken your senses while a scalp and foot massage balance the whole body.

Aroma Hydrotherapy Tub and Body Wrap

This spa treatment begins with a full-body exfoliation, followed by a 20-minute session in a whirlpool tub. After relaxing in the tub, the skin is hydrated with pure flower and plant essence oils, followed by a body wrap with warm cotton sheets and blankets. This service is completed with a stress-relieving scalp treatment and foot massage.

Caribbean Therapy^TM Body Treatment

A rejuvenating and nurturing body treatment that uses the healing touch and plant ingredients of the Caribbean to create inner calm and renew the body and senses. Treatment begins with a dry exfoliation followed by a warm seaweed back and foot masque smooth and detoxify. A restorative scalp, face and body massage completes this island-inspired experience.

Moor Mud Body Wrap

Using the "Moor Mud" applied to the body excluding face, hands and feet. Wrapped in a warm blanket and allowing the therapeutic properties to penetrate for 20 minutes. You will then rinse off in the Swedish shower and an application of Body Lotion and complete oil will finish the treatment.

100% pure Moor Moor Mud added to a warm whirlpool bath that you soak in for 20 minutes, but first you will have exfoliated in our Swedish shower. All followed by a 30 minute application of body lotion and complete oil.

Moor Mud Foot Therapy

Starting off this treatment is a foot soak in our natural therapeutic Moor Mud followed by a foot and half leg exfoliation. "Moor" is then applied to the foot and half leg and wrapped in warm blankets. Treatment is finished with a relaxing foot and half leg massage.

Reflexology

This treatment begins with an essential oil foot soak followed by a 60 minute session of our reflexologist working with the zones and pressure points on your feet that correspond to all body parts, glands and organs to promote total relaxation and help to relieve tension, stress and exhaustion.

Non Surgical Face Lift

Acupuncture For Pain Management

Acupuncture is a Chinese medical therapy that has a written history of over 5000 years and is now recognized world wide for its powerful pain relieving abilities. Acute and chronic pain anywhere on the body; migraines, carpal tunnel, golfers elbow, stress and anxiety, smoking, weight loss are just a few of the issues treated with acupuncture. Thin needles (new/sterilized and sealed) are inserted in strategic locations on the body (locations differ depending on the pathology being treated) to stimulate energy flow through the meridians or energy pathways of the body.

Spa Experience Information

To begin your spa experience please feel free to utilize the steam room prior to body treatments to open the pores as this will benefit your body and the therapy process.

Special Note: Prior and after any essential oil treatment it is strongly advised not to use the whirlpool hot tub. The chemicals used for maintenance of the tub could cause possible skin reaction.

Please advise the receptionist upon reserving if you are pregnant as some treatments are not recommended for pregnant women.

Cancellation Policy: Because spa appointments are reserved for you, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointments. A fifty percent, non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of reservation. No shows are charged at full value.

Services are offered by fully trained estheticians and therapists.

Bridal Services & Bridal Parties: for groups of six or more reserving services , one service will be complimentary. For example: A bride , three attendants, mother of the bride and mother of the groom book manicures; the bride's manicure would be complimentary. This applies to all services. Bridal hair services are offered at Spalutions Hair Salon. To reserve a hair appointment please call 519-539-4142.
